Welcome to my brand new Piccolo's Shrine. Here you'll find a bit of info on him as well as some pics and sounds... I finally put up pics and sounds! It's a shame that there are so litle web pages out there that's dedicated to Piccolo, where's the respect? Anyway, I thought he deserved a section all on its own. Enjoy your stay.

Origin

Piccolo and Kami-sama are linked and are from the planet Nemek. People tend to get Piccolo mixed up with Piccolo Daimo who I guess you could consider as his so called "father". Piccolo Daimo ("the great demon king") was the evil half of Kami-sama. Realizing he had some evil, Kami-sama split himself into two entities: himself (the good half) and Daimo (the evil half). This was a long time ago and because of the trouble he caused Daimo was emprisoned in a box until years later that idiot "empire Pilaf" freed him! He killed Krillin and Kamesennin (aka: Master Roshi) and got a hold of all seven dragonballs.

He wished for his youth and power to be restored, killed the Eternal Dragon and begun his reign of terror. Piccolo Daimo was eventually defeated by Goku. In his dying breath he spat out an egg (ew!) which later hatched into Piccolo who had all of Daimo's memories and abilities. Later Goku went to see Kami who restored the dragonballs so that everyone who was killed by Daimo would be resurrected. Some years later during the Tenka-Ichi-Budokai, Piccolo trapped Kami-sama. Goku and Piccolo (both grown) were forced to fight again. When Goku emerged victor he refused to let Kami destroy Piccolo. Instead he gave him a senzu seed having some respect for him. I guess with Goku being pure hearted and all he felt that Piccolo deserved another chance. Piccolo was pissed about his loss but he decided to settle the fight another time.

Char a cter

Piccolo first appeared in Dragonball as Piccolo Daimo, outlined above. In the beginning of Dragonball Z, he harbours a sort of hatred for Gokou and a gruff, big-brother-like love for Gohan. After seeing Gohan's powers emerge, he trains and prepares him for upcoming battle agaist Nappa and Vegeta. Piccolo saves Gohan by taking a blow from Nappa, ending his life. As the story evolves, he becomes a sort of ally to the "Z warriors" and friendship amongst them gradually builds up. Piccolo has a calm, down-to-earth attitude and is always a help during the toughest battles.
